About Us
Since 1971, NOREL Service Company, Inc. has provided sales, service, and installation of top-of-the-line fire and security systems. Our technical expertise has enabled us to expand and grow year after year to become one of the top life safety systems providers in New England today.
We pride ourselves on our long-term business relationships which have contributed to our consistent growth. We provide state-of-the art services and products and meet or exceed our clients’ expectations. Our clients and partners are long-standing ones and we appreciate the opportunity to serve them.
Besides our outstanding service reputation in the industry, our leadership is our distinction and has been the driving force for the success of our team of skilled service technicians, and our testing, installation and sales departments. Our leadership team maintains an extensive history of active involvement and chairing of professional committees related to fire protection and life safety systems.
NOREL Service acquired National Fire & Security Company in 2009 and Flagship Security Company in 2012, both Massachusetts-based companies. These acquisitions were executed in order for us to expand our provision of a more comprehensive line of exceptional fire protection systems, security products and added-value service. Currently, we provide a full line of integrated fire and security solutions and are recognized as a one-stop shop.
We are proud of our veterans. From 2017 to 2022, the Boston Business Journal listed us as one of the largest Veteran-owned companies in Massachusetts.
Our Logo
The USS Constitution, a United States Naval frigate, is the oldest commissioned warship afloat in the world. It was named by George Washington and was first launched in 1797. The ship was built in Boston’s North End and it is completely constructed of wood.
In 1980, the USS Navy chose NOREL Service as the sole source contractor to design and install a fire alarm system aboard the ship. It was an honor we took seriously. We have been servicing “Old Ironsides” (nicknamed for its strength against cannonballs) ever since. You may still see some of our long-time logos around; the number on the firebox was the original USS Constitution master firebox number.
